About Yang Liu
Yang Liu is a video director at miHoYo, responsible for directing promotional content for Genshin Impact, Zenless Zone Zero, and the company’s core brand campaigns. As the first director in the industry to specialize in game promotional videos, he pioneered the "3-3-3-1" framework and revolutionized the methodology for game preview livestreams. His work has set new standards for preview livestreams, game TV commercials, and documentary-style productions across the industry.
With over a decade of experience, Yang has collaborated with leading global brands including COACH, FIGARO, Bilibili, Unilever, Budweiser, and Logitech, directing promotional videos and livestreams across a wide range of industries. He has also worked with numerous top-tier Chinese celebrities.
Since joining miHoYo in December 2021, Yang has led the direction of more than 30 top-tier S-level projects. His work has garnered over 100 million views across platforms such as Bilibili and YouTube.
